Traditional Methods
Materials used were all natural: animal, mineral, and vegetable, and were deliberately placed as seen in their dream
or vision. Common materials were “nuts, berries, bones, teeth, fur, skins, animal hairs, feathers, and quills” (Friesen & Friesen, 2006, p. 16). The Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Cambridge in England currently houses a modern dream catcher collected from Clifford Crane Bear, a Siksika of the Blackfoot Confederacy.
